Another artist I admire and have had the pleasure of studying with is Nancy Guzik. She has the most sensitive approach to her subjects and her technical ability is amazing. She is so gracious and a pleasure to be around. One way she starts her paintings is by identifying certain colours and laying them down asap including the darkest dark to use as guides for comparison to other colours.
