“Unlikely Friendship” Oil on linen 12 x 14 Yippee! I received a First Place Award for the juried, Federation of Canadian Artists 75th Anniversary Show at Cedar Hill Gallery in Victoria. I'm thrilled and so honoured to be a part of this wonderful organization. Almost every day I see deer around our yard and wanted to try my hand at painting one. In the end I decided to put a bird in the painting. When researching a bird to put on this deer's back, I was pleasantly surprised to find this combination in nature.
