Birds are my passion, the 10,000 species, the fascinating behaviors, the ability to fly. Watching birds in the wild are a window into nature’s soul, what a wonderful world we live in. This is a painting of Zebra finches on the 1st day they fledged from the nest. I realized once I painted the detail in the beaks how incredibly fast the growth is from one day to the next. These finches hatched one day apart, the youngest is on the left.
